Christmas has always been a special time for my mum and dad, Yvonne and Gary, who’ve always believed in community and giving back in all sorts of ways. Long before Sensational Crafts existed, we were the kind of family that helped out wherever we could, whether that meant school fundraisers, charity drives or local events.
These days, running a small business means Mum and Dad can’t always volunteer their time the way they used to, but they’ve never stopped doing what they can. Through Sensational Crafts, they love supporting local causes, from hanging flyers in the shop window to now, of course, the Lions Club Christmas cakes and puddings.
The Lions cakes and puddings are more than just a delicious Aussie Christmas tradition (and yes, they’re made right here in Australia). Each sale helps support the Lions Club and their incredible community projects. Having them available in the shop is Mum and Dad’s way of continuing to give back, a small gesture that makes a big difference.
