This policy outlines the terms and conditions for attending retreats, workshops, and special craft events organised by Sensational Crafts.
By booking or attending an event hosted by Sensational Crafts, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
Sensational Crafts hosts two main types of craft events.
Local events such as the Local Wonders Craft & Relax Weekend are held locally in Casino, NSW.
These events:
• are typically held at venues such as St Mark’s Parish Hall
• do not include accommodation
• may include meals, refreshments, or light catering depending on the event
• allow attendees to participate in a day or weekend crafting experience.
Major retreats are multi-day creative getaways held at external venues such as Coffs Coast Adventure Centre.
These retreats may include:
• accommodation
• catered meals
• extended crafting time
• group creative activities.
Accommodation and venue details will always be provided when the retreat is advertised.
Spaces for retreats and events are limited and bookings are essential.
Payment details and booking instructions will be provided when each event is advertised.
Failure to complete payment by the specified deadline may result in the booking being cancelled and the place offered to another participant.
Major retreats require a deposit to secure a place.
For example, retreats such as the Creative Escape require a $50 deposit.
• The deposit secures your place in the retreat.
• Deposits are non-refundable once paid.
Deposits allow Sensational Crafts to confirm venue bookings, accommodation, and catering arrangements.
Due to venue bookings, accommodation arrangements, and catering commitments, the following cancellation conditions apply.
Major retreats involve accommodation bookings and significant event planning.
If a participant cancels their booking:
• The $50 deposit is non-refundable.
• If cancellation occurs more than 6 weeks before the retreat start date, the remaining balance paid (excluding the deposit) will be refunded.
• If cancellation occurs within 6 weeks of the retreat start date, all payments made are non-refundable.
Local craft retreats involve venue hire and catering preparation.
If a participant cancels:
• More than 4 weeks before the event – a full refund may be provided.
• Within 4 weeks of the event – refunds are not available.
If a participant is unable to attend an event, their booking may be transferred to another attendee with prior approval from Sensational Crafts.
The replacement attendee must provide their details prior to the event so catering and event arrangements can be updated.
Some retreats include accommodation provided by the host venue.
Accommodation arrangements may include shared dormitory-style rooms or similar group accommodation, depending on the venue.
Accommodation details, including what attendees may need to bring (such as linen or personal items), will be provided in the retreat information.
Many Sensational Crafts events include catering such as meals, morning tea, afternoon tea, or refreshments.
Food may be prepared by Sensational Crafts or provided by the event venue.
Participants must notify Sensational Crafts of any dietary requirements, allergies, or food intolerances at the time of booking so reasonable accommodations can be made.
While every effort will be made to accommodate dietary requirements, Sensational Crafts cannot guarantee that food will be completely free from traces of allergens.
Some events require a minimum number of participants to proceed.
Sensational Crafts reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event if minimum attendance numbers are not met.
If this occurs, participants will be offered:
• a full refund of payments made, or
• the option to transfer their booking to a future event where available.
Sensational Crafts reserves the right to make reasonable changes to event schedules, venues, instructors, or activities where necessary.
Participants will be notified of any significant changes as soon as possible.
Photos may occasionally be taken during events for promotional or social media purposes.
If you prefer not to appear in photographs, please notify Sensational Crafts prior to the event.
Participants attend retreats and events at their own discretion.
Sensational Crafts and partner venues accept no responsibility for:
• personal injury
• loss or damage to personal belongings
• travel disruptions or circumstances outside of our control.
Nothing in this policy excludes any rights under applicable Australian Consumer Law.
