But if you ask the people who walk through the door, they’ll usually tell you it is much more than a craft shop.
It is a place to browse, create, print photos, join a class, ask for help, catch up with familiar faces, and feel part of a community. Whether you are popping in for scrapbooking supplies, card making products, a quick print job, a workshop, or just a friendly chat across the counter, you are always welcome here.
Sensational Crafts has grown around the people who use it. What we stock, what we offer, and how we do things has always been shaped by our customers, our regulars, and the needs of our local community.

Sensational Crafts began around 2000, after Yvonne found it difficult to source the craft supplies she needed locally. What started from home slowly grew into something bigger, with Gary and Yvonne sourcing products, helping other crafters, and building a loyal customer base.
In 2004, Sensational Crafts moved into its first physical shop in Casino. Over the years, the business has changed, paused, restarted, adapted, and grown with the community around it.
In 2018, Gary and Yvonne relaunched Sensational Crafts full-time at 125 Barker Street, Casino, where it continues today as a craft shop, creative workspace, service counter, classroom, and community hub.
At Sensational Crafts, you will find a mix of craft supplies, classes, retreats, practical services, and custom creative work.
We stock products for scrapbooking, card making, papercraft, art, hobbies, sewing, mixed media, and creative projects. We also offer photo printing, photocopying, laminating, binding, document help, laser cutting, custom work, handmade items, and locally created products.
Alongside the shop, we run regular classes, social crafting days, workshops, hobby groups, and creative retreats. Some sessions are guided by experienced teachers, while others are relaxed days where people bring their own projects, sit around the table, and enjoy the company.
One of the most special things about Sensational Crafts is the people.
For many customers, visiting the shop is part of their routine. It is somewhere to sit, make, talk, laugh, learn, and spend time with others who understand the joy of creating. Over time, friendships have formed around the craft tables, ideas have been shared, and people have found a place where they feel comfortable and included.
Someone will always say hello. Sometimes it is Gary or Yvonne. Sometimes it is one of the regulars at the table. Either way, you are not left standing there feeling out of place.
That is the bit we care about most.
Sensational Crafts is also home to locally created products, including the Designed by Yvonne range and in-house creative pieces made right here in store.
Many of these products begin with a customer conversation, a project idea, or a gap someone needs filled. Rather than focusing on mass-produced trends, we enjoy creating small-batch, practical, meaningful products that suit the people who actually use them.
We also support local makers, community groups, schools, charities, and creative people wherever we can, whether that is through consignment space, donated craft supplies, community events, fundraising, or simply helping someone solve a problem.
Our purpose is simple.
We want Sensational Crafts to be a warm, welcoming space where people feel connected, supported, and inspired through creativity.
Yes, we sell craft supplies. Yes, we run classes and retreats. Yes, we offer printing, custom work, and practical services.
But underneath all of that, we are here to help people create, remember, connect, and feel at home.
So whether you are a long-time crafter, a scrapbooker, a card maker, a hobbyist, a beginner, a regular face, or someone walking in for the first time, we would love to welcome you in.
